Copper sulfate and ferrous sulfate are homologous compounds. By controlling the solubility of the two metal salts, the goal is to maximize the precipitation of ferrous sulfate while keeping copper sulfate as dissolved in the solution as possible. Through an efficient solid-liquid separation system, the mixed crystals are processed by iron powder to displace copper. After liquid exchange and iron removal, the solution is reused. The displaced copper is added to the recycled plating solution, which results in a copper sulfate recovery rate of approximately 95% or more in the reused plating solution.
